transferring domain names

i need a little bit of , first i purchased my domain name through godaddy website tonight and now i would like to transfer the domain name to another registrar. however i find the above information highly confusing. what is dpb and how do i know if i have it? could someone please help me figure out how to transfer my domain name? thank you so much.

@cnew1982 If the domain was just purchased, please be aware that you would not be able to transfer the domain registration until 60 days after the registration date.

“DBP” is short for Domains By Proxy. It’s meant to hide your personal contact information. You can use a WHOIS search to see if you have DBP. If you do, you will see DBP’s contact information instead of yours:
