Moving from free wordpress to Hosting with Godaddy

My site (kindlereleases.com) is currently on the free hosted version of wordpress. I have tried to install wordpress on GD but when I click on the admin link it redirects me to my free wordpress admin. It also doesn’t accept the credentials I add when installing WP in GD.
Does this have something to do with me mapping the kindlereleases domain to the kindlereleases.wordpress.com domain?
What am I missing.

You can move from WordPress.com by following these instructions:

When you are ready to point to your hosting account, you need to update to the hosting nameservers:

Thanks, Christian – do I have to change my nameservers first? Right now my.com is redirecting the the .wordpress blog – consequently, when I click on my admin link in here I am just getting redirected to the blog instead of a new blog to start creating: http://kindlereleases.wordpress.com/wordpress/wp-admin/

@bigbluefoo
It looks as though your domain is resolving to our nameservers, however your A record is not pointing to the correct IP address for your hosting plan. This will need to be updated in order to access your admin section:
