Wordpress upgrade error

Hi, I had my wordpress installed using the installer at blog.mydomain.com. But a while ago I moved my blog to the root directory. Now I got a notice that the wordpress needs update to 3.3.2, but got installation error when asking GoDaddy to upgrade for me. Does that mean i’ll have to upgrade it myself from now on since the blog path has been changed? Is there a way to update the detail for the installer so they can do it for me? Thanks.

As the application was moved to the root of the account, you would need to do all future updates manually. Our network sees the original directory as the target destination for the update, and when it finds it empty, the process will error out. As for the warning that shows in the Hosting Connections error, the only way to remove it is by uninstalling it. I would urge you not to take any further action until all files and databases have been backed up, if you decide to go that route.

Hi Jason, thanks for your help. Would it be ok if I leave it that way then? since it looks like the error doesn’t affect my wordpress blog…

@kayandjohn
there is no issue if you leave it that way. Some Customers view the errors int he dashboard as an inconvenience, but it will not affect the functionality of the site.
