Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion Server) & SSL

Well, that’s all very nice, however after successful (?) installation of the purchased SSL certificate, OSX Server still doesn’t recognize the certificate in iCAL and Profile Managers. Any idea why?
If I check the certificate status in both Server.app/Server/Settings/SSL Certificate or keychain the certificate is valid and trusted. However both iCal and more importantly Profile Manager cannot locate the certificate.
Thanks

If you are still facing this issue, I would recommend contacting our SSL directly at ra@godaddy.com.

@DENGARRY — Thanks! .. this worked like a charm. Also as a note, there’s a section in your docs mentioning that when you are on the GD SSL wizard page, you need to specify the subdomains (mail.foo.com, http://www.foo.com, etc) .. For some reason, this wasn’t the case when I went through the wizard.
Either I purchased a different level of SSL or the wizard changed.
Either way, many thanks, 10.7 is up with SSl working now.

@dengarry: I’ve used the training at lynda.com. BUt things seem to have changed slightly with mountainlion server. MOst of what you say still is the same (although userinterface has changed) Could you elaborate if UCC and standard SSL of go daddy is crucial. I did not plan for much services other as device management and file services to be accessible from the internet.
@godaddy:
If important, does godaddy offer a upgrade from standard to UCC?
JasonP said 3 months, 1 week ago:
@gerritjan
Certificates cannot be upgraded, only purchased and requested.

Mac OS X Server 10.8 GUI does not support creation of wildcard CSRs. The workaround is to create one through the terminal using openssl as described here:
7 min expected wait time
