ssl certificate is still pending!!!

@dogpound
The approval is sent to the administrative contact on the domain registration. If your domain has privacy on it, then we wouldn’t be able to email the administrative contact. You may want to obtain a Domain Authorization Letter. Check out this article for more information:
What is your criteria for accepting Domain Authorization Letters?
Hope this helps!

and very eager to know where the ‘Issued within Minutes’ come from. Deceitful advertising ![]()

@deng
Once you request the certificate, we send the approval email to the administrative contact on the domain name. Once the contact has been verified, we issue the certificate within minutes. If you are having issues, please let us know so we can point you in the right direction!

We have the same issue. We are now being told we have 24hrs before our SSL may be denied. We have complied with a specifically named website and still we are stuck at the dreaded ‘pending’ status. in desperation we have asked for manual help – no reply as yet – we really need our cert.

If we have sent you an email with a special code in it, you need to either create a TXT record with that code or add a page to your website with that code. Have you done either of these?

Hi Baillee we have done both.

What I see happen a lot, is that customers will be requesting an SSL for a subdomain, like sub.mydomain.com, so they will create the records for the subdomain. However, what we are looking for is for the record to be created on the root domain, just mydomain.com. Is that what you’ve done? Do you mind posting your domain name so I can check things out for you?

we are requesting the ssl certificate for our domain example.co.uk we have uploaded an html file with the code however our webspace only resolves with http://www.example.co.uk not http://example.co.uk i think this is why the automatic check is failing? We would really appreciate some help.

We have started the process again – again are at the point of requiring a Website Control w/ Modified Website verification – same as above, our domain won’t respond to http://example.co.uk only http://www.example.co.uk.
Any help appreciated.

I apologize for the delay here. However, it looks like you got this sorted out, right? Let me know if there is anything I can do to help in the future.
