I know you’re only going to tell me about Outlook’s Junk filter settings, but I can’t RAISE the levels of filter any HIGHER and spam is just pouring through into the inbox of my users. Why is there none, and then all of the sudden there is INFINITE!? Does not GD take measures to prevent this nonsense? Hire some people – there are plenty out of work who need jobs.

@exch_spam_fail

The Exchange server prevents most spam and user? ??n c?ntrol pers?nal ?ettings through the Outlook email client. You may want to block specific senders through Outlook if you are continuing to get spam from the same senders.

Told you I knew what you were going to tell me. Junk filter up to High and Block senders sure – but each sender is used only once. Block the sender. Boom. They use another one. Rinse, and repeat.

I’ve had the same problem. There was nearly no spam up until about two weeks ago and now there is a TON of it. Stuff like “Ford Clearance Event”, “Business Phone System”, “Analyzing Energy” and more fill my inbox in WAVES. You folks at GoDaddy need to turn the spam filter back ON.

Please turn the spam filter back on. The amount of spam coming through in the past two weeks has been off the charts.

@exch_spam_fail & @brentmcdonald

If you’re still having an issue with this, please send a copy of the messages along with the full headers to our Support Team so they can review them.

Thanks!

@brentmcdonald it’s not just me! – I’m not insane… well depending on the test results… I feel your pain (spam wise.)

@Baillee I appreciate the kind gesture however… my infinite [redacted] spam has too many [redacted] characters for me to use your [redacted] support contact form; seems there is an 8000 character limit… how about a direct email address for where to forward all this [redacted] spam?

Do these forums only show selective posts? Even after “moderation?” Why am I not seeing all my replies? Have the spam-bots infiltrated the hallowed Support forums of GoDaddy!?

Here’s your new ad campaign… Don Draper would be so proud… “GoDaddy Hosted Exchange… less than 51 spam emails per day guaranteed!”

Over here too… I was just playing with my Anti Virus settings, and outlook settings, when I realized this needs to be corrected on the server level, not the machine level. I don’t need my cellphone full of spam either. And, Yes, this just Started in the last day or two. I mean, I always get a few offers to purchase Chinese… what have you (mostly Chemicals and electronics?). But now, it’s insane, I can’t delete fast enough. If this were a personal mailbox I would shut it down and open a new one, but being a business address, I need to keep it. But perhaps I need to keep it somewhere with security on their servers? Tell us all the good news about a Boo-Boo made during a recent software update to your system, and how its being fixed right now? eh?

To all afflicted with recent Hosted Exchange spam onslaught: *after* submitting sample spam to Support via contact form, follow GoDaddy on Twitter https://twitter.com/#!/GoDaddy then through Direct Message coordinate the Support Incident number – seriously it seems to help… they are still investigating but colour me impressed! So far so good! Spam quieting down… (no jinx, no jinx)

@all FYI an update from my Incident Ticket

“Our developers are working to resolve your issue with receiving spam with an update to the Exchange environment that is due to be released within the month, and should prevent a majority of the invalid emails you are seeing.”

Hi,

I am having the same issue as well! This sucks! Come on GoDaddy! Do I have to switch to a different provider?

Thanks.

Bailee, It would take many hours to fill out the form on the link you provided and paste in all the examples of spam I get a day. Can you please provide us with an email address we can forward them to.

For the love of God, please help!!!!

@brentmcdonald PS. try either support@godaddy.com or apsubmit@secureserver.net they may work if Moderators let me post them. But, keep .eml attachments smallish 3MB or less I’d recommend.
