Godaddy hosting is slow

Hi,

I bought a webhosting account recently to move all my websites to godaddy.

However I’m already unsatisfied because of my website running slow (currently only uploaded my wordpress blog).

On my previous hoster, when I was navigating to my blog, it instantly connected (for example: blog.bennymichielsen.be, my collegue is still on my old webhoster).

But when I go to glnn.be, it takes 5-6 seconds for my webpage to load… This won’t be any good for visitors and I won’t be able to move all my websites to my godaddy account…

Is there anything to do about this or will I have to stay on my previous hoster?

Kind regards,
Glenn

@glenn_dierckx,

There is slight slowness in your site loading, but not the 5-6 seconds you are describing. That’s not to say that there isn’t an issue. However, the slowness could be caused by a number of issues, including plug-ins or add-ons you’ve added to your WordPress site. You may want to try disabling those first to see if that increases the load speed:

Why is my WordPress site running slowly?

Hello Mike,

I currently have no special addons installed (only akismet and wordpress jetpack). These are the same ones I had installed on my previous host, so they can’t be the problem.

@glenn_dierckx,

If your WordPress is a recent fresh install, you may want to consult our Support team to have them review the site and the hosting with our Advanced Hosting team, as a fresh install really shouldn’t be running slowly. Unfortunately, I’m not able to directly review any issues in your account:
