Is AdSpace suitable for my company?

Well, I think this is a perfect topic for the Marketing group…

I run a small Dutch IT firm, our main expertise lies in systems administration, Internet solutions (on some points we even have lower prices than GD :-) ), system and network security and we’re also focusing on knowledge management. Apart from that we also develop custom based applications but that’s a very specific issue.

Next I’m a GD reseller, one can say that I consider GD to be a business partner when it comes to Internet related issues.

I recently discovered your AdSpace advertising:

http://www.godaddy.com/business/local-advertising.aspx

The logical question being: could this be useful to us ?

I noticed that it states that: “AdSpace Local Advertising advertises in US geographic locations only, not including Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands.”.

Does this mean than any advertisement which becomes available on search engines can only been seen by people from the US or that this will only appear on websites which are basically aimed at the US but can just as well be visited by people from Europe.

Thanks in advance for any comments you may have!

@ShelLuser,

I am unable to guarantee that the ads can be seen internationally. this is a “Local” advertising program, meaning that you set your target area. So if users search identifies your area, the ads will resolve. Keep in mind, they can do a similar search outside your target area, and the ads won’t pull.

Hope this helps,

Jason

Gotcha. Yes, it has indeed local labeled all over the place, but I still wasn’t 100% sure.

I think I’ll pass for now but I am going to make a request feature because quite frankly; I think this can be big.

I tried Google adsense (using some free credits though) yet I was quite disappointed to see how fast my advertising credits ran out even though I was very careful not to rate them too high. And when looking at the increase of traffic… No, I wasn’t impressed.

So then E 50/month (with an optional boost credit) looks like a very good deal indeed!

I’ll be sure to keep this in mind for any possible US customers though!

And thanks for your comments!

@ShelLuser,

No problem, hoped it shed a little light anyway!

@ShelLuser,

At this time we are only able to accommodate AdSpace customers in the continental US, Alaska and Hawaii. It is a local Geo targeted product which means that the customer will choose a location in the US. Once the location is selected we will place their ad and only customers whose IP address shows that location or are appending the keyword with that specific location will see their ad.

Thank you for your inquiry,

Stephanie S
