I am not clear on what you are asking, however I believe you are asking if you need to use the merchant account we sell to accept credit cards on your website, and the answer is no. You can use your own merchant account, however if you are using it with Quick Shopping Cart to take credit cards you will need to ensure that it works with the gateway Authorize.net. With PayPal you do not need a merchant account as they handle all of the payment processing.
If I have misunderstood what you are asking, please reply back with clarification. Thanks.

Hi thanks for the reply!
Q1. Ok so I can ONLY sell ‘Godaddy services’ if I use ‘Godaddy’ as my hosting?
Yes I know I do not need a merchant account if using paypal.

You have the option of selling any products or services on your website. It does not have to be related to GO Daddy products.

what benefit are we getting by using a merchant account through godaddy versus establishing our own merchant account?

@ron2
The biggest advantage is the options of providers you have as well as the fact that they have been setup within the network which will lead to a faster setup time to get your products live on the web.
