Online File Folder SFTP

I was told on the phone by a salesperson that the deluxe version of Online File Folder included the ability to connect via SFTP. I can’t seem to figure out how, though. I see no instructions on how to do so, and my attempts have all failed. I have no problem connecting with an insecure, unencrypted connection, but for obvious reasons, this is not desirable.

We apologize for the confusion. SFTP is not currently supported with the Online File Folder.

Plain text FTP passwords are easily sniffed!
When will SFTP/TLS be implemented or can I get a refund?
One more thing – the website says unlimited file size…
It turns out there is a 1Gb file size limited or am I wrong?

I have no additional information related to the offering of SFTP/TLS connections with the Online File Folder at this time. You’ll want to get in touch with our 24 hour support team to see about getting a refund if you are not interested in keeping the service. Our Online File Folder allows unlimited sharing (meaning you will not be charged for any bandwidth), but there is a 2GB upload limit.

What is the upload limit for my Online File Folder?

I am currently encrypting each file before uploading (syncback pro auto encryption). The only drawback is that the login password can still be intercepted.
I do hope Godaddy does add SFTP support soon!
You say there is a 2GB upload limit (which is perfect) but your hyperlink to the reference article states 1GB ?? Which is correct?
Besides this little niggle the service is fab.

I apologize for my confusion. The Online File Folder currently has an upload limit of 1GB. If any information comes to light about the offering of SFTP with the Online File Folder I’ll be sure to post an update here.

Online File Folder is not with SFTP? Before you make my order, I asked your support center whether service “Storage – Deluxe” supports SFTP and they told YES! The only reason to choose your company is that they told me that!

I will also be cancelling my service now. I registered with the understanding that I would get SFTP. I run a hosting business and was going to use this service to backup my clients websites. I cannot afford my clients sites to be compromised…

GoDaddy, when offering an FTP service, you should be offering SFPT as well. it should be a given…I want a refund please!

Add me to the list. A secure connection is a must, there’s no good excuse not to have sftp or some sort of encryption without using the https://onlinefilefolder.com interface.

Actually via FTP I am able to upload 4.1 GB files. I have transferred several that way (but it takes about 4 hours!)

I apologize for the delay. You should be able to upload files up to 2GB in size to the Online File Folder at this time.

We appreciate your continued feedback regarding adding SFTP support to the Online File Folder. I will be sure to make the appropriate department aware of these additional requests.
