photos in Montage?

I feel really dumb, but I can’t figure out how to get photos into Montage. I’m in edit Montage; add photos tab. I’ve clicked the “select photos” drop down and “add photos” button about 30 times and there’s nothing. I have created two galleries, so there are photos available. What am I missing?

I just started using website tonight 2 hours ago, so nothing is live yet. my url is http://www.cape-comicart.com. But it’s still Montage I’m asking about. The help page for Montage seems to assume I’m seeing images or some sort of list when I’m on the “add photos” tab in Montage, so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

You are definitely in the correct location to add the photos. You may want to try another browser to make sure that this is not the issue. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact our Support Team to review your account and the behavior that is occurring in the Photo Album.

You know, I tried it in the latest Firefox, Crome and even resorted to Internet Explorer and it still comes up blank. It’s a mystery. I’ll try the support link. thanks.

Well, just in case someone else has this problem, tech support figured out that what I did wrong was click the box that says “private” instead of “public.” So I finally have a montage, only to discover that the montage app doesn’t generate any code !!!! I’m hunting for the answer to this problem. You’d think they would post some generic code that people could edit. After all this hassle, I will probably end up using something else.

Aha! Thanks for the update and letting us know the reason why were not able to see this. What kind of code are you looking for? I’m assuming that you are trying to find an embed code. The only thing that the Photo Album offers is an option below the Montage that says “Link to this Montage”, which provides the URL of your montage.

I’m having the same problem. I’ve uploaded some pictures of mine and click on where it says “build a montage.” A pretty little window opens up, but it fails to show the pictures that I have already uploaded. What am I missing????

Hi Winston – We figured out that the problem was that I made the gallery “private” instead of “public.” In the end I didn’t use Montage. I wanted a slide show but I didn’t need to use music with it. If you aren’t using music the built-in slide show is pretty good. It’s insert/images/image collection. It offers all kinds of options.
Christian, when I was trying to use Montage, I was expecting it to provide embed code like Picassa slideshows does. But no. I’m not going to use Montage, so thanks anyway.
