I’ve added two pictures on my blog however I’m unable to add an email link to my pictures. Any suggestions?

@play4typhoeus

We do not currently offer the option to create an email hyperlink to your images, the only links that can be created are to web pages. This is a feature that we will be sure to pass on to our developers for possible future release. Thank you for your suggestion.

you will need to use html for your blog page: I have email links on mine using the html.

dustbowlokie is right but please be well aware that this could also be a spam magnet like nothing else; especially if your blog has become more popular.

In most cases I personally prefer not using a link but typing the whole stuff out manually. Like, in this case, the fact that you can also reach me on pl at my domain on synthfan dot com (for example).

Never underestimate robots and web bots which roam blogs and websites merely looking for stuff like usable e-mail addresses.

I just wanted to add that @shelluser definitely makes a very good point to keep in mind. That’s also an excellent suggestion in having the email address spelled out instead of linked to in the post.

If anyone else would like to make any further suggestions or provide feedback in this regard, it is always welcomed here on the Community.

Each character has HTML code that can be used in its place. By replacing the mailto: and the @ symbol with html characters, spambots will not be able to locate the e-mail address, and you can still have an e-mail link. Your code would look like this: E-mail Me

This will send an email to name@email.com, you just replace the name with your user and email.com with your domain name. But also remember you don’t even want plain text of your email address anywhere on your website, linked or not.

@Nade D: you are right, but never underestimate spambots. Also keep in mind that while this maybe unreadable in plain text any browser (and such a spambot) will translate your link back into a ‘mailto’ link, thus it becomes recognizable again.

I changed my email address ( in html) from my home email to the free one with the blog. Do you see any problem that may arise from this?

@dustbowlokie: No, I think that’s an excellent idea!

The perfect way to make sure that your home address remains safe, and if too much spam does get into your free mail account you can always consider upgrading or changing.

I hope I’m not scaring you with my comments, but unfortunately I’m really not exaggerating here.

@Nade D, @shelluser, @dustbowlokie,

These are definitely good ideas and suggestions. Again, any additional input from any other community members is always welcome.
