How do spiders and bots traffic affect my statistics?it mean

Not sure what it means when the blurb on my ‘Visits at a Glance’ & my ‘Hourly/Daily’ visits says that the statistics may include spider & bot requests. Does that mean the results I’m getting are not necessarily clicks from real people? Also says it does NOT include ‘unique visits’. Why not? Aren’t they real people and real clicks?
My domain is http://www.homestylingbycathy.com I have integrated my Quick Blogcast into my regular Godaddy website.

@cathyruth
Internet bots are automated scripts that analyze data on the web. Your stats may include requests from these bots.
Also, I was scanning through my free stats, but couldn’t find any reference to unique visits. Any visitors report should include the total number of visits to the site, including unique and returning visitors.
Hope this helps!

Here is the blurb that shows up on my stats page: How are Visits at a Glance statistics calculated?
Visits at a Glance statistics are based on homepage views, post views, and page refreshes. These statistics do not include unique page visits, but may include bot and spider requests.
Also, is there any way to find out how many of my clicks are from bots and how many from ‘real’ people.

@cathyruth – Statistics and Analytics should not be considered the exact number of visitors to your site, they can be used to monitor trends on your site.
The report in question does not segment out the Unique page visits, meaning if 1 person visits the site twice, it counts as 2 visits.
