Online Payment Options

I’m in the process of figuring out what direction I’m going as for the payment process. I may be leaning toward the “PayPal Pro” product (PayPal’s branding), which involves a monthly fee from PayPal, but at least would not take customers away from my QSC site. I’m curious what others have chosen and if you’re satisfied with how your option works. Thanks! CJ

Just found out that QSC does not support the Pay Pal Pro product, just the Standard. Curious how others feel about their interactions with Chase, etc…

You do not have to use PayPal Pro to accept credit cards. I used to use regular PayPal (you’ll need a business account) and they will process any credit card and your buyer does not have to be a member of PayPal either. But it did get confusing, and does take buyers away from your website.
I switched to the Intuit gateway and am quite satisfied. Easy to set up too. Saw my sales go up. You’ll also need an SSL certificate.

@CJ,
PayPal Express is another option for you.
The advantage is that the payment process is completely integrated into your storefront’s checkout process, meaning there will no longer be any orders submitted without payment.
The disadvantage, which some merchants don’t like, as VisionsOfIndia pointed out, is that your customers have to pay with either their existing PayPal account or they have to create a new PayPal account.
