I’m new here and trying to build my first GD shopping cart web store. (and honestly having the most difficult and overwhelming experience of my whole life. If I knew how difficult and confusing it was to build a web store I would have never agreed to start it. Anyhow, I would love to see what some of the other members have been able to come up with for their own online stores. Mine is far from complete or I’d show you it.
Maybe by sharing our pages we can help each other in sharing ideas and more knowledge. what do you think?

<p>Thanks for all the great links everybody. it’s nice to be able to see what other people are coming up with and what is possible. My page is still not complete so I can’t link to it yet. Would anybody be interested in helping me sort out Shipping rates? It is by far the most confusing part of this for me so far.
Problem is most of my stock is going to be DROP SHIPPED by a 3rd party. So I have no idea what the weight / dimensions are going to be for all these things. but the go daddy shipping calculator requires me to input this info.
Are any of you dealing with drop shipping and how did you deal with this problem??

@Bowmen721
Your site looks great!
Question: I noticed you have free shipping on everything. Is that because dealing with the shipping calculator is such a pain? I’m thinking of doing the same thing and just factoring in the price of shipping into my list prices of my products. Reason is, I have no clue what the weight and dimensions are for the products that will be drop shipped. But that is also a problem because i have no idea how much more I will need to raise my prices to cover the shipping.

Island guy, if you have enough markup on your items, just do a flat rate shipping. I did 9.95 and free for anything over 99…
islandguy said 1 year, 2 months ago:
Black_Z> I like that ideal. I thought about marking up prices enough to cover most shipping & then offering free shipping over “$??.??” but I never considered combining that deal with a flat rate. Thanks!

Sorry, didn’t see your post until just now. I offer free shipping because all of my competitors do. No other choice. I offer free curbside delivery and charge for white glove delivery ($199).
