I have a domain with the name http://logonaniket.com
I have a subdomain in it with the name “blog”

My problem is “http://logonaniket.com/blog” is giving me 404 error and showing Godaddy 404 page.
Though “http://blog.logonaniket.com” is working fine.

P.S. (just for information)
I have used url forwarding for “www.blog” in my DOMAIN MANAGER to redirect it to “blog.logonaniket.com”

Please help, this is creating a downtime on my site. Please

@logonaniket

As far as I can tell with your DNS and the URL’s everything should be working the way you state without a 404 error. There may be something configured incorrectly within your hosting account or a problem with the web.config file that is causing the issue. You may want to contact support directly so they review the hosting account to ensure everything is properly setup. They can be reached at http://support.godaddy.com/support.

I dont think this is problem with godaddy. normally one wordpress site cannot be accessed by different hostname unless you enabled multisite plugin.

Hi, don’t mean to jump an old thread, but an easy workaround that’s worked for me, is editing your subdomain to point to the directory root, such as /home/content/%%/%%%%/html/blog/, and simply naming your opening page as index.html.

I did try removing and readding the subdomain as per search results, also, editing IP’s to match, but it was index.html that worked for me.
