I renewed my ssl certificate but my certificate still expired and now I am unable to update it at all. I was charged for the renew.

After you purchase the SSL renewal, there will be a credit within your account that you will need to apply so that it can be reissued and reinstalled on your server. Have you followed the steps to do this?
