I’m struggle to install the SSL certificate on Tomcat Server since couple of days. I tried to communicate the issue to support so many times and now I’m tired of contacting them. Because, all they tell me is the same procedure that is documented on their site, which is wrong. The instructions provided for SSL installation on Tomcat Server are wrong on their documentation link.

Can someone tell me if they had success with SSL on Tomcat ever? Appreciate quick response!

I followed the same link for instructions. When I download the certificate, I get 4 crt files, but the instructions talk about installing Root Certificate, which is not included in those 4 files. After talking to Support, they told me to download the Root Certificate from some other link and ignore the gd_bundle.crt file that is packaged in the download zip file (of 4 files). Even after downloading that new Root Certificate called ‘valicert_class2_root.crt’, when I try to install it, it says “the certificate is already imported with alias ‘valicert_class2_root’, do you still want to import?” I said ‘yes’ and it is imported successfully. BUT then when I finished the rest of the process of installing other certificates and making changes to the server.xml, when I access the secure page, it says, unknown publisher error. Tried this procedure 10 times by cleaning everything and requesting SSL using new CRT’s as specified in documentation, but never succeeded yet!

I’m not sure why the instructions provided are not working for your installation. I would recommend contacting our SSL department directly regarding this issue as they may be able to provide you with additional installation assistance.
