Hello,
I am in the process of making a site for strategy poker and coaching. Along with this I would like videos on my site but only for members who sign up/pay for membership. I don’t want to us password protection because other members can share the passwords, but rather have access to only allowing who I want to view the private videos. Is this possible? Or is there a better way?

thank you!

@kingcurtis

I can understand why you would not want to use a password to protect your videos as the passwords could be passed around after being issued. You may want to consider offering a temporary link to the video that expires after a certain time. This would be similar to what we offer with out Quick Shopping Cart. After a customer purchases a downloadable product like a video or song, they are then sent a temporary link to download the file. The issues I see with our Quick Shopping Cart would be that the users could download the files and then send the files to others and that your users would have to pay per video. You may want to get with a web designer to see about creating an interface which allows users to only access the videos after they have paid for the membership.

thanks, yes it seems like more work than I thought because then I’d have to have a members list, somewhat like a forum does and only allow those members on the list to view the private videos or threads.

Were you able to find a solution for your site? We’d love to know!
