@dilfilmy,

You can locate your user name inside the Virtual DataCenter control center.

To Locate Your Virtual DataCenter User Name

Log in to your Virtual DataCenter.
Go to the Manage tab.
In the Network Assets area, click Users.

The user name displays in parentheses next to the corresponding display name.

If you don’t know your Virtual DataCenter password you can reset it from the Virtual DataCenter control center.

To Reset Your Virtual DataCenter Password

Log in to your Virtual DataCenter.
Go to the Manage tab.
In the Network Assets area, click Users.
Click Edit next to the user you want to update.
Click Edit, and then enter a strong password.
Confirm the password, and then click OK.

Hope that helps.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply.
I did same thing but could not get anyusername inside that. So i made one username and one group and set a password.
But while connecting through putty with same username and password, it is saying authentication failed. But in past i was able to ssh to the server with some username.

I had raised a support ticket and got this reply:

Dear Sarathi,

Thank you for contacting Server Support regarding your Virtual Data Center.

The FTP user name and password are specified by you within your FTP software. If you have forgotten the FTP user name and password, you can log into the console and change the user name/password via the bash command line. The procedure for this will vary between FTP servers; I recommend reviewing the documentation for your specific FTP server, whether it is vsftp, pureftp, proftp, etc.

Please contact us if you have any further issues.

If you’re using the set user name and password and are unable to connect, you may want to get in touch with the server support team to ensure your server is accessible through SSH.
