AutoRenew for Virtual Dedicated Plans

I just received a phone call from GoDaddy telling me that AutoRenew is not valid for my Virtual Dedicated Linux server.
What I want to do is have my credit card charged monthly (yes I know, I am skipping over discounts and savings), and I have it set up to do exactly that….AutoRenew monthly and charge my saved billing method.
The CSR who called me explained that AutoRenew does not work for hosting/servers and that I would lose everything unless I bought a multi month plan. He said “it’s in the fine print”?
Is this true?

I am sorry to hear about your recent experience with one of our Live Support representatives. I believe there may have been some confusion, as Auto Renew should work on a Month to Month renewal of our Virtual Dedicated Server plans.
I will be forwarding your comments for this recent experience to the proper departments to be sure that this information is being properly relayed.
