Hi,

We are trying to make a change to our php.ini configuration. and are not able to gain root access to alter the file.

Commands such as sudo and su get the response “command not recognised” although your support pages suggest using su – to switch to root user access.

Could you advise us with a possible solution or diagnose the what the problem might be.

@wonga

If you are having issues accessing the root of your server, you will want to contact the Server Team directly through your control panel:

Get Support Assistance for Your Virtual Dedicated/Dedicated Server

If you have a shared hosting account(Legacy/4GH), please remember that you will not have access to the root of the server. The .ini file will be on the root of the account, or a new one can be added.
