Connecting to virtual server to access Ajera

I’m not sure where to start and I’m having trouble diagnosing the problem, hopefully someone can be of assistance.
Currently, I’m helping a client migrate their internal server to a cloud-based alternative. They use Ajera by Axium and a link for setting it up is quite straight forward (pdf warning http://update.axium.com/Setting_up_web_access.pdf). However, they don’t leave much information on trouble shooting or the details of implementation.
I need to access my server via IE as “http://<name-of-server>/Ajera” and this works fine if I’m trying to connect to it from the server itself, but I need to be able to connect to it from a computer outside the server. I was understanding that it used port 80 and figured that was likely open to use, but it doesn’t work. I’m running a GoDaddy Virtual Windows Server. Are there any suggestions on allowing access to this server?
If there are any questions or missing details I would be more than happy to fill them in, please let me know.
