It is possible to create a link to anything on your Virtual Dedicated server. Granted there are a lot of unknowns in your Question, such as the local Operating Systems, the application you will be linking and any protocols that may need to be opened on your Local network to connect to the Application. However, the short answer is yes, you can do this.
