My sever is currently down. Is it due to this, or something else is going on?

@JotPix,

Could you provide a domain name that is being hosted on the server in question? I will gladly run some tests with our advanced support to verify if any issues being encountered are due to the scheduled maintenance or other issues not related to the notice you received.

@JotPix,

Thank you for the information. I have just reviewed this matter with our Advanced support team. It does look like your account might be affected by an issue that is indirectly related to the maintenance notification. Cause of this, I would advise submitting a trouble ticket to our Server Support team so they can access and investigate into the matter further inside of your server account. You can submit a ticket to our Server Support team through the instructions below:

You have been connected to Kevin R. – Server Concierge.
Kevin R. – Server Concierge: Please note: All Live Chat sessions are logged and may be monitored for security and quality assurance purposes.

Thank you for contacting Live Chat support for Virtual and Dedicated Servers. This is Kevin. How can I help you?
fallingedge: hello
fallingedge: my virtual server is unreachable at the moment
fallingedge: i cannot ping nor remote access it
Kevin R. – Server Concierge: I can see that there was scheduled maintenance performed on the server last night. From my understanding this maintenance should have been completed already. At this time I suggest submitting a power cycle request to bring your server back online.
Kevin R. – Server Concierge: You can request a power cycle of your server in the Virtual Dedicated/Dedicated Hosting Manager.

1. Log in to your Account Manager
2. From the My Products section, select Servers. The Virtual Dedicated/Dedicated Hosting Manager opens in a new window.
3. Click Launch Manager next to the server account that you would like to manage.
4. Under Support, select Request Power Cycle.
5. Review and confirm your request.

NOTE:Please allow up to 30 minutes for your virtual dedicated server to fully reboot
fallingedge: that is a really unacceptable response
fallingedge: it is not my responsibility after a maintenance activity to request a reboot
fallingedge: you have basically stated that you have cost me an entire morning of use
Kevin R. – Server Concierge: With your permission I can submit the power cycle request for you.
fallingedge: last time i heard this klind of thing I was without my server for the better part of 5 days
fallingedge: i would prefer if you could determine what the issue is rahter than blindly recycling power
fallingedge: if my machine is truly in a powered down state than yes
Kevin R. – Server Concierge: I found that your server was not responding to pings or Remote Desktop connections. It appears as if the server is offline. I have submitted the power cycle request for your server.
fallingedge: i was told after receving a ridiculous email that suggested 4 days of downtime that i would experience 15-45 minutes of downtime between the 3rd and the 7th of this month.
fallingedge: i have been down, as far as I know for 4 hours!
fallingedge: the answer you have provided is that someone forgot to power on my server?
fallingedge: Kevin, I appreciate honesty in this case… I have had over twenty restarts of my server in the past 60 days so it is critical that i receive an answer as to why this happened today
Kevin R. – Server Concierge: The power cycle for your server has completed. I can see the server is now responding to pings.
fallingedge: please have a customer service representative call me immediatley, I can no longer trust that GoDaddy will provide me any sort of reasonable uptime or follow through with scheduled maintenance

@nickush,

I could not duplicate any issues with your site being down. I also could not generate any internal server error messages when navigating through your pages.

If this is an intermittent issue, you would need to contact our Live Support the moment the issues are occurring so we can further investigate the cause of the matter. The number listed on our support page is valid, and representatives are available 24/7 to address your concerns. If you cannot reach us via phone, you may also submit a support ticket at the URL below:
