Not sure why I cannot login after adding a new user and password to my hosting account. The directory was created based on the added username. I can’t login in any fashion via FTP client or thru any browser with the username and password I created. Perhaps I’m doing something incorrectly when I’m attempting to login (via ftp client or browser). Are there some common mistakes I might be making?

Make sure that you are using the domain name for the site or IP address of the account for the hostname. Many times I see aliased domains used for the host name, which will not work.
