I’ve a 1 month unlimited hosting plan and I don’t want to renew it since, it doesn’t include the SSL and e-mail while renewing (still couldn’t understood why?)

So, I’ll buy a new unlimited hosting plan for 12 months (hope it’ll include SSL and e-mail for 12 months)

(if there is anything wrong with the above two sentences please correct)

Now, if I don’t renew my ending (actually ended) 1 month hosting plan, and I buy a new 12 month plan from scratch..

Will the transition be smooth?
Will the 12 month hosting plan I buy is going to be appear as a second hosting product in my “My Products” section?

Can anybody explain me this thing and give an advice about this?

Thank you.

You are correct that the SSL certificate is free only for the initial hosting plan term purchased, after which it will automatically renew at the then-current rate. The email credits will remain free for as long as your hosting plan is active.

If you purchase a new hosting plan, it will appear in your account as a second hosting product and you will be unable to set it up on your domain name until the first plan has been canceled. You will then need to re-upload your website files.

Hi timb,

Thanks for your answers.

The SSL certificate will last 12 months if I purchase it with a new 12 months unlimited hosting, right?

And can I transfer the domains in my old hosting plan(expired yesterday but site is still active, any pending period for that?) to my new hosting plan? Or do I have to wait until it completely deletes all the files in the domain? (there is a wordpress blog installed, not too many content)

Yes, with the purchase of the 12 month hosting plan, your SSL will be free for 12 months.

You will not be able to apply your domains to the new hosting plan without first removing them from the current hosting plan. It would be best to download all of your website files now while the old hosting plan is still active. You should have received an email stating the next renewal attempt. We attempt to renew your hosting (if you have automatic renewal set up) 3 times before the hosting is removed from your account.

I’ve cancelled my old (1 month, expired but still active) hosting account, and ordered a new 12 months hosting account which is showing now in my “My products”..

But when I launch it for configuration it doesn’t show the domain that I want to use with this account.. (I was using it with the old hosting account)

Is there any delay time or sth like that for my primary domain to be able to configure with the new hosting plan?

Yes, it could take up to 24 hours for the domain to be available for use again after the hosting plan has been canceled, although it usually is much quicker.
