This is probably some noob error, but when I FTP up files that work fine on my local drive, all the jpg images don’t show up on the web via my hosting site. I had an Images folder in my main directory that my index.html references, but no go. I even dragged the jpg’s into the main directory with the index.html file and had src=”their filename” but no luck either. Even when I typed the direct path to the jpg in the browser window – it didn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have a Linux plan? Make sure the references follow the same CaSe…

Images/photo.jpg
images/photo.JPG
images/Photo.jpg

These are all different.

I did not see any references to images or files other than the image on the right. I would agree with @Nate_D’s advice and check the case on your references.

I’m having the same issue. I have developed and ftp numerous sites on Godaddy with no issues, but today after uploading my site the photos will not appear. I have:
1– checked the proper permissions for the “images” folder
2– checked to make sure I have the path to my images is correct
/images/my-photo.jpg
3– checked to make sure i didn’t put a CAPS or small case letters by mistake.
4– My site has over 15 images and none of them are showing. Everything else is showing correctly.
