Depending on your hosting package, there are a couple routes to have Zen Cart up and running.
The first one I would recommend you try is using the Hosting Connection installation of Zen Cart (http://hostingconnection.godaddy.com/Application/ZenCart.aspx) which will take care of setting up the entire package for you including the required database and tables.
If you prefer to go the route of setting it up yourself please follow the instructions provided at http://support.godaddy.com/help/2005/04/11/managing-databases/ to setup your Zen Cart database. As far as other things needed to get it up and running, after configuring the database, i would use the automated installer provided with Zen Cart which (after uploading the Zen Cart files to your hosting account) will be available at http://{www.mydomain.com}/zc_install/
