I recently purchased a domain – My brother has a deluxe hosting account with godaddy – which in the past I have always bought domains through and used the automated install for wordpress.

Now I have installed wordpress on my brothers account and am trying to get my domain name to point successfully to the hosted wordpress blog in a different godaddy account.

most tutorials seem to be for domains registered elsewhere and hosting on godaddy.

I am gazumped – how do I get a domain name hosted on account 1 to point to hosting held in account 2 ? All on godaddy?

@andrewqld,

In order to point your domain to the hosting account in your brother’s customer account, you would need to update the domain’s A record. You would need to point the domain to the IP of the hosting.
