If so, I would like to know the minimum hosting cost per year.
LifeRay is a Web Portal Technology / CMS.

@zakir
We do have accounts that support Java without a problem but you need to use one of our deluxe or ultimate legacy Linux accounts. You can check out the plans at http://x.co/legacyhost. As far as hosting LifeRay, I checked out the requirements and from what I can see, it doesn’t look like this will work on the shared environment. It looks like your gonna need a bit more access then what is allowed in a shared hosting plan and you’ll want to look into our virtual dedicated or dedicated servers. Hope this helps!

Last year, it was stated that Java is supported, however it is not listed in the supported languages.

@dracoir – From what I understand Java (JSP, not to be confused with JavaScript) can no longer be activated on hosting accounts. Existing accounts can use Java if it was activated previously, but once deactivated it would become unavailable completely.

The information @Nate D provided is correct. All hosting accounts purchased after 7/11/2011 do not support Java. Existing accounts with Java enabled were not affected by this update — unless you manually disabled Java. Once disabled, you cannot re-enable Java.
