I’m having the same issue, which results in this error.

http://www.radiocontrolinfo.com/Images/Homepage/error.jpg

On all domains on this account. Including but not limited to:
http://www.radiocontrolinfo.com
http://www.ratemypc.me
http://www.cadanddesignservices.com

This first happened to me 8 months ago when the site was new. It lasted about 2 weeks and seemed to go away. Well it’s back again and has been around for nearly 2weeks or so. Many users are experiencing the exact same thing on the sites and notified myself. It occurs most frequently when replying to a post of some sort. This may include a forum post, image upload, or a business contact form.

I am even experiencing my FTP client receiving errors. It will fail to re-connect and wait 5 seconds before another attempt. Similar to the websites, refreshing the page or on the second FTP connect attempt it works.

Wait period must be at least 5-10 minutes. Occurrence is quite frequently now. >80% of all attempts. Aside from the error image, there really is not much more to see by re-creating the issue.

@cadandds

I tried to duplicate the issue on various parts of your websites throughout the day today and was unable to duplicate the issue (I do want an RC boat now though). If you haven’t done so already, you may want to try getting in touch with our 24 hour support team so our tech guys can ensure the hosting account is functioning properly.

My site has been having the same issue over the past few days. It’s also been reported to me by quite a few members. url is http://www.WaGuns.org.

It doesn’t happen all the time, but does happen 5-10 times a day for me (and the reporting members). It’s becoming quite an annoyance. Any known solution?

It seems to happen only when a user is trying to make a post. We are using PhpBB software and all of our files and edits are in place and solid. If the user is typing out a post via the full or quick reply, the error message appears when the user hits submit. All of our session timeout settings are set long enough where this isn’t causing the issue.

Picture of error:

What I have advised my members to do in the meantime is to either hit the back button (usually their post is saved) and re-submit or to hit F5 and the info SOMETIMES re-submits.

Anything?

@adamr …why don’t you use the same third party tracker to check my website? http://www.vgfaq.com?

Here is the result: http://host-tracker.com/check_res_ajx/9773941-0/

An average response time of 16.40 sec and 9 fails?

I’m sorry to say that but this problem which I’m experiencing for one month now, seems to aggravate with each day.

@waguns @All future posters

The ‘your request timed out. please retry the request’ error is extremely difficult to troubleshoot without being able to duplicate while having access to the hosting account. If you are experiencing this error, please get in touch with our 24 hour support team as soon as possible and include the steps to duplicate the issue. Thanks!

@vladis

I ran another test on your site and it’s looks fine at the moment.

Hello guys,

the same problem is happening on my site also (started a week ago) http://www.autoshopcy.com (free car classifieds directory).

basically everything works fine, but when a user fills out the form and selects the photos to upload WHEN THEY PRESS THE SAVE BUTTON it kicks them out (showing error connection to the internet). somethimes it also shows the “your request timed out” (i empasize – when they press the button) – i have personally tested it from other computers myself.

can you please comment what finally happened on your sites? i would really appreciate feedback, as this harms our websites and services credibility.

thanks

The problem is also happening to me on my site, when someone tries to submit a form. The problem I think is google chrome.

For me it works fine in fire fox, IE, opeara, dragon, maxthon, safari, avant, and so on. The only browser giving this error is google chrome, plus, all the uploaded pictures on this thread by people complaining seem to be screenshots in chrome.

If you google “chrome time out too fast” you will find that google staff are recognizing the problem and claim to be working on it.

can anyone verify what I have said here? is the problem just in chrome for you?

spooldonkey: this seems to be a problem related to Godaddy servers and not you or your readers’s browser. I am getting the problems in Firefox, IE etc anyway and many others are too.

Same here.
My website: promwebsoft.com is getting that error. I am pretty sure as a developer that the error is on godaddy’s side. I noticed this yesterday’s night, and it was not like that before. Also i noticed that i get the error instantly after clicking something (at random) but most likely when filling forms. Because there is no delay for showing the error, one can tell that the php script did not time out. the error is not caused because it took too much time, but because the server mistakenly “thought” it timed out. The tech support should start by making sure the servers time are in perfect sync, i think… I am worried because this is really strange, and strange is hard to solve sometimes.

I’m having the same issue at http://www.cougarcorner.com

This happens every time an http post is made after it’s been more than 60 seconds on a page.

Since I use phpbb3 this means my users load a page with forum topics, read it, and then go to reply. If it takes them more than 60 seconds to type up their reply (which is common for the size of comments we generate) they get the “Your request timed out. Please retry the request.”

I have set the php5.ini file to include max_execution_time as 360, but the problem still persists and seems to be at the 60 second mark.

I’ve been hosting my site at godaddy for years, and this problem never existed for me until last week. Since then it has been constant. To the point that if I can’t get this figured out, I will be forced to find another hosting solution.

So far my experience with the support team has simply been “we cannot recreate the problem,” and “your server appears to be setup correctly.”

Since nothing has changed with the software (no updates) I can only assume that a system change was made and godaddy doesn’t know how to fix the issue.

I will be responding to the support team with this info and I hope it does some good.

Hey, Can you check out http://theportlandsophisticate.com – we run wordpress but I can’t find any errors using chrome web tools/debugging and found that many godaddy people have this issue. Thanks!
