Free hosting and blank page on IE8

I have a domain free hosted on Godaddy. When I try to open my webpage on internet explorer I get a blank page. Firefox open the same page normally (adding on top a Godaddy commercial banner). Any ideeas?

Are you using Publisher or something similar to make the webpage? If you page uses absolute positioning, this can cause the site to be pushed to the side by the ad-banners. You can view some more detailed information about this through the following link:

I used a hosting credit for my site. I don’t recall seeing anything about the “ad supported free hosting”. If it is truly a credit, then why the banner. Also, I have uploaded an index.html file, but the Godaddy default welcome page still appears the homepage.
