FTP Uploads super slow

Anyone having the same issue? It takes forever to upload simple small files via FTP, I use FileZilla and when file goes to 100%, it just freezes there for 30 seconds, then asks me if I would like to overwrite the file. Took me 3 minutes to upload 5 files.. strange

Same problem, and I just sent a message to support. Very slow upload speeds, lots of time-outs, etc. Trying to transfer over a website and it’s taking forever! This is 4GH hosting.

hello. same issue – slow updates via FTP. i’ve tried two different FTP programs and both take a very long time to complete simple file updates. i found that files seem to upload fine through the goddaddy panel. any ideas would be great. thank you.

Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, could you perhaps try posting the results of a traceroute, so that we can make sure that it’s not a local ISP issue?

Trace-route is fine, I am uploading from a server I manage myself on a buisness-class ISP line… home-server> hfase.com godaddy-4GH-server> gplforum.com

So far it has taken me 20+ min. to upload >10,000kb. Pretty sad.

I am having the same issue. Was uploading a 40MB tar.gz file and it tool for ever to upload and then froze at uploading 100%. I went through this painful process once and now doing it again. hope it finally uploads else please suggest alternate way.

I’m also having trouble uploading to our FTP. Not sure what is going on. We also have 4GH. It seems that it keeps complaining that we have more than 8 connections open from our IP. We are using Filezilla internally and only use 1 connection at a time. This occurs when only one person has an FTP open.

I have the same issue, but the support said its firewall, ftp setting problem,
all are nothing, I closed the firewall, change from vsftpd to proftpd.
SAME slow upload.
