@lau_2012
Thanks for posting! At this time, we support up MVC3-razor syntax while using ASP.NET 3.5. We do not currently support MVC4.
thanks,
Jason

Thank you for taking the time to post on this thread. At this time, there is not any official news on MVC4 pertaining to support of it on our servers. When I am able to obtain any information, I will update this thread.
Thanks,
Jason

Any update on this? REALLY need MVC4 hosting. I just bought a 12-month deal with DiscountASP.NET but can cancel and switch if you guys can support me. ANY way possible? Can I have access to the bin directory to drop files in? That’s all I need.

Any updates on the ASP.NET MVC 4 being supported here at GoDaddy? Any developers know of the requirements or dependencies that are needed?

Although it’s still in beta, given that it’s bin deployable you should be able to just drop it in shouldn’t you?

I would assume that you will need root level access on the server, which is not available on a shared hosting account. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Same here. Looking for MVC 4 support… Any timeline?? or temp solution such as moving missing assemblies?
mrgrok said 1 year, 1 month ago:
Root level access is not required. I’m on 4GH Deluxe and running an mvc4 razor site ( http://www.thewildforager.co.uk ). I think I posted the wrong link (too many tabs
) -> check out this article. It’s written with mvc3 in mind but the same approach works just the same for mvc4.

Only thing I have found is the annoying issue the urls generated from ActionLinks etc end up prefixing with the subdirectory path when deployed under a subdirectory (but this was present in mvc3 under godaddy also).
