Having trouble with uploading and replacing files

I use Dreamweaver CS4 to design, and have really enjoyed using the FTP hosting GoDaddy provides to get my website design on the web. The first time I uploaded the files, it worked like a charm and my site appeared online just as I designed it.
Since then, I’ve updated the site, by giving it a little makeover of enhancement. I added in some background images to divs, spent more time on images, and updated the CSS.
But, this time around, when I go to upload and ‘overwrite’ the existing files, all I see online of my website is the old images and some old CSS!
I inspected all of my html files and my style sheet as well, and have found no obvious reasons for this. My files have the new and improved code and structure, but when I host it, those improvements don’t show up. I’ve even tried using Filezilla and Dreamweaver hosting, but all of them show the same lame effect.
I NEED HELP! I’m stumped. Any/all answers, or even advice on how to trouble shoot is soooo appreciated.

You will want to ensure that the site structure and file names have not changed. Sometimes it can easily be overlooked if the name of the index file has changed, for example index.html and index.htm. You might also want to double check and ensure that the files were not uploaded to a separate folder. If you still have issues, can you provide your domain name or URL of the error, and explain what you are seeing versus what you should be seeing?
