I have Joomla! installed through the automated install at GoDaddy. It asked me to provide a folder name so I called the subfolder “joomla”. Obviously, if I am to direct visitors to my site, I do not want to make them have to add “/joomla” after my domain name, so can someone tell me how to modify the folder location so that it appears at the root of my domain? After that, I guess I’ll have to figure out how to use Joomla’s dashboard, but at least it will be where I need it for visitors. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

@seniorcorner – If you have not started setting up the website yet it may be easiest to just uninstall the Joomla. Then you can re-install leaving the folder field blank to install directly into the root.

I think that’s what I’ll do. Thanks. :-)

@seniorcorner

Nate D is correct this would be the easiest way to go if you have not started using the set up.
