PHP Email Form not working properly on GD server
EnvisionCreate said 2 years, 6 months ago:
We have been running this script on numerous servers with great success. We have begun developing sites on GD and we have recently learned our PHP email forms are sending but not being received. Neither in the inbox or spam. Please advise as to GD protocol for PHP scripts? Are custom scripts supported?

@EnvisionCreate,
You are able to use custom scripts for sending emails, and you will want to ensure that you are using relay-hosting.secureserver.net as the SMTP server. This relay server does not require authentication.
If you use the mail() fuction, it will not need to be specified.
Hope this helps,
Jason

Hello,
I’m having a similar situation but am using the mail() function.
Mail is coming through fine except when being submitted by the php form.
Is there anything else I should be checking? Also worth noting, it has worked in the past. I have not made any changes and just noticed it was not sending/or I was not receiving emails from submitted forms.
Thanks
Scott

@STRP,
Sorry for the delay. We would need to review the account and test the form to determine any issue. I would advise to contact our Support Team directly to review the account.

The same thing is happening to me. And, like STRP said, my forms also worked and then randomly stopped working.
I don’t understand why they worked and then don’t and now GD support won’t help me fix the problem because the form mailer isn’t a GD form mailer.

These forms can be tricky if they involve another outside email address the only way I can trust them to work permanently is to make sure they are being sent to a godaddy email on linked to the hosting account. I had the same problem they would work for a short while then they were stopped. Make who they are sent from as a GD email account and who they are sent to a GD email account, if you need them to go somewhere else then forward them using the GD email account.

@lennium,
Thanks for the follow up with your experience. It is recommended that the ‘From’ address you are using in your script be an address using your hosted domain.
As for challenges, the best way to diagnose an issue is to have our Support Team review it. While the errors may be similar, everyone’s issue may not be the same.

I have the same problem. Form to email was working now it suddenly stopped. I was told by GD support it is because a form was sent with no info in it and that disabled the forms from working.
I was also told I needed to add validation to the code to stop this from happening. Wouldn’t that mean I am using my own script and not the standard gdform.php and therefore I can not ask GD support for any help? This seems a real run around and no solution to my problem. THANKS GD. I am so annoyed by their whole attitude I am considering changing hosting company. Anyone have a similar experience??
