hello, I am struggling with developing a website using phpMyAdmin.
I develop the site locally(using Drupal) and want to upload the whole contents(with all of the data records) on remote server. I was able to export & import SQL file from localhost to remote sever but I am not able to do the same for CVS file because myPhpAdmin on remote server does not give me options to choose a type of importing file as CVS. It shows only “SQL” file format as an option.
How can I import CVS file onto phpMyAdmin???
I am stucked! Please help, any advice , hints, would be appreciated ;-) ))))

@jeanbart

It sounds like you may be trying to import the same information twice. If you were able to export/import the SQL file into the database, you should not have to import the CSV file. Once you update the connection string information for the site, you should be good to go.

dear adamar,
thank you so much for your reply. I am not good at doing all this web task, that’s why I was confused…
Originally I wanted to transfer the whole web contents which is developed on my local server to the remote server. I was able to import sql files without problems however, the website does not show any contents which is shown on my local machine. For example blog articles and book pages etc….. looks like the whole records in database is not being reflected on line website. How can I reflect the records online? would you teach me how to do this step by step?
thanks!!!!

@jeanbart

If the information imported into the database is not displaying on the site, it sounds like the database connection string information may not be set correctly. You may want to double check your database information to ensure it is set properly. The connection string information for a Drupal site should be within the settings.php file.
