Second FTP user login issue

I have created two different new FTP user accounts, one with its own folder and one that has full access to the root directory. I can not get either one to log in with my FTP program, the only that works is my Primary FTP User name and password, so I know the FTP program works.

There may have been a problem with the setup of the two new users. I would contact our support team so they can test the account.

Did that first and the person a I talk with was …shall I say clueless even after putting me on hold for 3 minutes. Is there something different other than changing the user name and password I need to do to log second user account?

If the FTP user is associated with a particular folder within the hosting account, you’ll want to make sure to include the folder in the FTP address. If you still have trouble connecting, I recommend continuing to work with our 24 hour support team. It will be difficult to troubleshoot the issue further without being able to run some FTP tests using the FTP users in question.

I am encountering the same problem. Using the FTP Users control panel, I created a new user and set “use ftp username as directory”.
However, the directory does not appear to be created on it own.

I have not had any luck getting the second user account to work. When I did try and add the second acount and set the “use ftp username as directory” it did make a the directory.
I also tried to make the second user acount to the root “” directory but still was not able to login.
They did tell me it takes about 30 minutes to get everything setup after you make any changes, support walks you through the setup (which I did corectly once before) and says wait 30 minutes everything should work, So good luck

If the directory was not automatically created for the user, you are welcome to manually add the directory to the hosting account.
