I have tried several of the fixes addressed in other questions and have ensured a good connection with the godaddy servers, I have even completely redone my setup with everything, but I still don’t seem to be able to “put” to the site. Is there some basic info that I missed in a tutorial somewhere?

@jrgaines,

I understand that you are trying to publish your site using Dreamweaver CS5. The steps to accomplish this may be found in the following:

Publishing Your Website with Dreamweaver CS5

You may wish to ensure the Domain is properly pointing to the Hosting Account:

Finding Your Hosting Account’s IP Address

If you continue to have issue please reply with the Domain name so we can review this further.

So, I redid both of these steps and am still unable to upload content correctly. Is there a specific name for the file I should use? I’m pretty new to this, so I apologize if there are some basics I should know already. The domain I am using is casillerodegainestrom.com

@jrgaines

Thanks for providing your domain, it looks like your domain is still pointing to InstantPage and not your hosting plan. You will want to use the link provided by Sherrod to find your IP address and then update it for your A record.

Only after this has been changed can we determine if your site files are loading properly. To answer your question, yes there is a specific name for your default or home page:

I uploaded my files. Why isn’t my website displaying?
