Trying to upload website through an ftp

when i connect to filezilla ftp client in my instruction video it shows me a folder on my hosting side that says public_html i’m suppose to click that and then go to computer side and click on my new site to upload. but there is no public_html folder to click on so how do i upload my new website to my domain??? there is only a few things on my godaddy hosting side. one is a welcome letter what do i do to get live then????

You will want to upload your website files to your hosting plan’s root directory which is denoted as / or simply left blank. We have a step by step help article that may help you with transferring your files with FileZilla:
