Which product to get?

I’m a bit confused over a couple of the web hosting options. I can buy a web hosting package and/or I can get the web design package. How exactly do they interact? Are they separate products? At Network Solutions when I buy the domain package it comes with a web design package, does yours? Do I get email with the web package or is that separate as well?
Essentially this is for my son’s band. They want to create an eye catching site where they can put up their venue’s they will be at, some of their music, photos, and video. I am assisting them from a technical level.
Please advise me as to what would be the best and most economical path to take, but have room to grow if the band takes off.

@jtpryan – Website Tonight does include it’s own hosting, so you would not need to purchase both. So the decision is all on how you want to build the site. If you wanted to use a different program to build the site, or if you wanted the site to run on an Application (like WordPress) you would get the regular Web Hosting.

Thank you. It appears that with the design package at 6.99 it is the same as the web hosting package at 6.49, but with less space. Would that be accurate? How good is the design interface?

@jtpryan
With every domain purchase, you receive a free email address and access to use our free InstantPage service:

Walkthrough: Setting up InstantPage for the First Time
If you purchase a WebSite Tonight or Hosting plan, you will receive additional free email address(es).
You will receive a considerably larger amount of hosting space if you purchase a hosting plan. However, with something like a band website, you can save space by adding videos to a 3rd party video hosting service like YouTube and then embed the videos into the site. I included our WebSite Tonight ‘Getting Started’ guide below so you can get an idea of what kind of tools you will be working with:

You may also want to check out our Go Daddy Hosting Connection. If you decide to purchase a hosting plan, you have access to install these applications into the hosting account.

@jtpryan – There are actually many differences between Website Tonight and Web Hosting, but most of them you would not need to worry about. Website Tonight is only compatible with Website Tonight, a self-contained package.
It all depends on you and what features the website will have, some people love the WST interface while others hate it. There should be a link on the sales page to preview all of the WST templates before you purchase. There are ways to tweak the templates, some for beginners and others are for intermediate or advanced users. Though the design can be altered you would be unable to change the functionality.
If you wanted more interactivity with the website you could get regular Web Hosting instead and install applications. You may also want to look into WordPress, because they have all kinds of plug-ins (which add features to your website).
These are basicly regular Web Hosting plans that have WordPress installed for you: http://www.godaddy.com/hosting/wordpress-hosting.aspx
And you can learn more about the application at http://www.wordpress.org
