I have seen some other postings where folks hosting with GoDaddy are not able to get JetPack plugin to work. I have it on three blogs all of which give this error:

Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible

Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site.

Well……it IS publicly accesible and the old wordpress.com stats plugin works.

@CColotti

Do you have an account with WordPress.com? From what I can find on this, you will need an account with WordPress.com to use JetPack, even if your site is hosted with Go Daddy. Other than that, the only other requirement is that you have WordPress Version 3.0.5 or higher; what version of WordPress do you have installed?

Yes I have their stats plugin working because that requires a wordpress.com account as well. Only this plugin is not working.

I have the same issue. Jetpack doesn’t work on my Godaddy site.

@CColotti and joomla1

There should be no reason why this plugin is not functioning.

I located the below information on the subject. I would recommend attempting to reinstall it, if you are still having problems. If that does not work you will want to contact support to ensure everything is properly configured with your hosting account.

@pacfac

Can you provide us the URL to where you’re receiving this error so we can take a look, please?

Thanks!
