Hello, here’s my problem.
When I go to http://www.radiantreptiles.com, I get this error:
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/1.3.33 Server at http://www.radiantreptiles.com Port 80
But when I visit http://www.radiantreptiles.com/index.html, I get the page I’m looking for.
How can I have it so that it will automatically default to load the .html page even on .com like it should?
I’ve looked online a bit and it says to look through files that I don’t have or can’t find?
Is there a way that I could maybe restore all the folders and files in the “File Manager” to defaults?
Thanks!

Hello Trevor Rizzuto,
The error you are receiving is generally caused by not having a default file that the webserver (in this case, Apache) can find or understand.
We use the DirectoryIndex option in Apache to set a number of different commonly named files as default files. index.html is one of the files that we do set as a default file, so the only reason I can think of this not working for you, is if there may be a .htaccess file that was upload to your account that would override this setting. Updating this directive could also solve your issues.

@ahmed_soliman,
As indicated in previous responses, this is due to your site content missing a valid index file name that would be recognized as the home page of your site. The filename needed will vary based on the operating system of your hosting account. We do have a list of recognized names for each operating system that is listed in order of precedence at the following article below:
What file displays when someone browses to my domain name?
