ZenCart SMTP/SMTPAUTH email setup?
clc_petz said 1 year, 9 months ago:
Signed up for SMTP relay config and applied the setting to the zencart setup — error in sending email.
setup is…
SMTP email account mailbox — equal to what is setup in Godaddy email config — password also
SMTPAUTH used
SMTP Email Host smtpout.secureserver.net
email port = 80
Any thoughts on the issue? — appears from the zencart msg that the SMTP server thinks I’m not authorized…thanks!

@clc_petz
When sending email from your hosting account, you must use the relay server of relay-hosting.secureserver.net. You do not need to provide a user name and password for this relay server. A maximum of 1000 emails per day are allowed through our relay servers.

I have set up the config with this information and I don’t get an error message when the email is sent, however the email is not received….have send three or four — has been about thirty minutes since they were sent.

ok — disregard — the last email sent finally arrived — wound up in the spam bucket also.

I also have had success with Zen Cart email using the SENDMAIL transport Method found in the Zen Cart admin console. (Configuration/E-mail Options). However, since the email is not “Hosted” by the go daddy SMTP Email server, the mail is dumped directly into my SPAM filters when I send email from the Zen Cart Tools menu to my personal email address.. any suggestions how to keep this from happening?

@elvis4994
More than likely the email is getting filtered because of the ‘From’ address listed on the email. We recommend having this address match the domain that is hosted, regardless of whether or not we host the email. We advise to refrain from using free public email addresses in the ‘From’ field.

Simple – Give me how to setup Emai on Zencart (for godaddy)

@suresh_jain
You will need to configure the SMTP server field to use relay-hosting.secureserver.net. As mentioned, this server does not require authentication.

I’m having trouble getting zen cart to send email so that it is not intermittently received by my email account at comcast.net
I’m using SMTP with relay-hosting.secureserver.net at port 25. Some times the emails make it quickly, or in 3 hours, or not at all with no error messages. so basically they are “lost”. Any suggestions?

@newtoestore
If you have the headers to one of the emails that was delayed, please send it to support@godaddy.com. with that information, our Team will be able to determine the source of the issue.
