How do I add a “Pin It” button for Pinterest to my WST and/or QSC sites? Thanks

@Smashing

It appears that you can get HTML code for a Pin It button and paste it into your pages. The code can be found here:

When pasting the code in you will need to ensure you are in HTML view.

I have added the code for the “pin it” button to one product in the HMTL editor and I can get the words “pin it’ to show in blue/hyperlink in the standard editor but when I preview the site, the pin it button is not there. Can some one provide details instructions on how to do this or confirm if it does or does not work. I am working in QSC

You have to copy and paste the code in the HTML of the block. click on “HTML” of the block and paste the code.

I have added successfully to one product, however is there a way to add it to all products on site at once, instead of manually entering the code on every product page?

@tajmama,

I assume you are adding the custom HTML code to the product description of your product pages? If so, there is no direct method of bulk editing the products with this information through the Quick Shopping Cart manager.

However, you could export an Excel Spreadsheet of your products (including the one you successfully added the button for). Through the spreadsheet, you could copy the HTML information from the one product and paste this into the description fields of your other products that you want to display this button through.

Note; that the code will appear as plain text information within the spreadsheet. But when you import the spreadsheet back into your Quick Shopping Cart manager, the text information should be interpreted as HTML code.

@jeanann,

Can you provide the live URL of your site where you are attempting to add this button? It would also help to see a copy of the HTML code you pasted in to your site for displaying this button?

I am having the same issue. After pasting the HTML code it will display the Pin It button but due to errors with WST it will not publish the code to the website for public viewing.

To add to my previous post…this is the message I get when the code is verified.

The following may require your attention:

Your data has been saved, however the page may not display properly until the validation errors are corrected.
Full Description (Line 4, Column 112): Attribute “color” must be declared for element type “span”.

@theruggedpearl,

Can you provide the domain or the full URL of your live Website Tonight page where the code is displaying this error?
