business facebook will not load…keeps loading my personal facebook

When trying to add the facebook widget and connector to my website, it keeps telling me that I have to switch to my personal account to give permission. When I do this, the wesite will only load my personal facebook. I have proper admin rights to my business facebook and have not had any issues on other website I have marketed on. What am I missing?

I am having the same problem. Hopefully someone knows the answer.

@theruggedpearl and @nikkib The Facebook widget within WebSite Tonight can only be used with personal profiles. Being able to add a business page would be useful, so I’ll make sure to pass this recommendation along for you both.

Thank you Stacey! Social media marketing is such a large part of our business strategy that having the correct connections/widgets to display to our customers is essential at creating the desired user experience we are after. I hope this can get resolved ASAP as this functionality should be standard and is certainly main stream for current marketing strategies.

I am another customer that would like to connect the FB page for a non-profit to the website, instead of my personal FB page.

I definitely agree & have been having the same issue. I have a lot of people on my business Facebook page that it would be nice to show that on my business web site. Please make this possible! ![]()

Thank you for the continued feedback. At this time, the Facebook widget used in WebSite Tonight can only link to Facebook Profiles. Facebook Pages can not be logged into independently on Facebook and are administered under a Facebook Profile. Because of this, you are only able to link the Facebook widget in WebSite Tonight to the main feed associated with a Facebook Profile. We will be looking into ways to import the feed from pages added to a Facebook profile. If any information comes to light, I will post an update here.

we are having the same issue… is it possible to edit the widget information once you have placed it? In other words can you change the id on an existing widget from say (http://www.facebook.com/yourname) to another that would fix the problem. I have an address for my page that I could put in its place.

@dancetheater
The Facebook widget used in WebSite Tonight can only link to Facebook Profiles. There is currently no work around in place to connect to a Facebook Page. If I receive an update on the widget functionality, I will post an update here.

I think I’ve got a quick last-resort (but funky!) work-around. Go to your facebook business page and create a badge (instructions there on how to do this). Click on the image of the badge once you’ve created it (left click, “save image as”). Then upload that image onto your site. Once the image is there, set up a link on that image to your facebook business page.
Ta-da! It’s not quite the same, but works in a pinch!
