How do I change the body layout of my homepage?
amy_luster said 2 years, 6 months ago:
For reference, my website is: http://www.parentingafteraloss.com
The majority of my text is written in the first content block. I want to add an email capture form as a sidebar (like a narrow column running along the far left hand side of the page) to encourage site visitors to leave their email address for my newsletter.
Can I add a narrow column-type form with this kind of capture box into this content box? Or do I reduce the width of my main content box and add the form as a vertical column form alongside? If this is the best way to proceed, how do I reduce the size of this main content box? I’ve been able to change the layout of my content boxes below my main content block, but I cannot seem to alter the size of the main content block.
Thanks for any help.

@amy_luster,
Sounds like you want to change the layout of the page so you can add some new elements. Take a look at this article that will walk you through the process:

Hi Jason,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it doesn’t respond to my question. Here’s what is directed on the article you reference:
To Change Page Layout
1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
2. From the Design menu, click Page Designer .
3. If necessary, from the Page list, select the page you want to edit.
4. Go to the Page tab, and then click Change Layout.
5. Select the layout you want to use.
6. Click OK.
I had already taken these steps several times prior to making my original post. These changes only seem to change the content blocks BELOW my main content block. It is the MAIN content block that I wish to augment. How do I change the size of this main content block? Or, how do I add a column-type form adjacent to this main content block?
Here’s an example of how I’d like my home page to look (http://clintonpower.com.au/). How do I create this with godaddy??

@amy_luster,
Sorry for any confusion. Sounds like you may need to change to a new template or edit the CSS to create the page size you need. Unfortunately, when it comes to custom changes, our support is limited.
Here is an article you can review for editing the CSS:

Hope this helps,
