I have two questions about the hit counter:

1. Does it count unique views only once, meaning one hit per computer for life? Or does it count repeating visits?

2. Does it count every page viewed, or one hit for the whole site? Thanks.

@marjorose

When the hit counter is added to the site, it tracks every time the page is landed on. If you have it located on your homepage, and I go to the site, it will track my visit. If I then navigate to a different page, then click a link back home, it will track me again. It will only count the hits to the pages it is installed on.

Remember that your WebSite Tonight plan comes with free statistics which are more accurate and will display unique visits.
